On May 30, we will host our 2nd annual gala, The Catalyst Ball. 250 supporters will gather in person on this life-saving night, expanding our circle of community and igniting the catalyst of compassion that propels the mission of Paws and Claws.
Last year, this community came together for our inaugural gala in celebration of our 5th anniversary—raising over $115,000 to power lifesaving programs.
Now, in 2026, The Catalyst Ball will build upon that momentum.
Every dollar raised on this night supports The Porchlight Fund—bridging the gap from rescue to home and expanding our ability to do more. Together, we’re lighting the path forward for the cats who depend on us now, for those still waiting for hope and rescue, and for the people who stand beside us in our mission.

OUR MISSION
The mission of Paws and Claws Cat Rescue is to prevent and alleviate the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Paws and Claws helps cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.
We are based in Evanston, Illinois, with the cats we rescue coming from all over the Chicagoland area, the greater Midwest region, and beyond.
